The expedition

Into the heart of the desert

Six days on foot through Wadi Rum's immense sandstone massifs, deep canyons and ancient dune fields. Carry your personal expedition equipment, establish remote camps and experience the desert well beyond the usual tourist routes.

Our standard expedition targets three guests for a personal small-group experience. Larger private groups of friends or people travelling together may be accommodated by arrangement, with an additional experienced guide and appropriate logistical support, subject to a safety and feasibility assessment. Planned water resupply and experienced local Bedouin support underpin the journey. Finish the desert traverse on foot at a luxury Wadi Rum resort, with hot food, showers, comfortable beds, swimming and a stargazing terrace. The following day, travel to Petra after lunch, with Petra by Night planned.

Founder & Expedition Leader — Long Range Desert Survey

Hello, I'm Dom, a desert expedition planner, guide and mountaineer from London, England.

I have planned and guided multiple expeditions across a wide range of terrains and environments around the world, developing extensive experience in expedition planning, navigation, fieldcraft and operating in remote locations.

My primary specialisation lies in desert exploration. Safety and preparation are fundamental to my approach: I meticulously plan expeditions, assess hazards and work closely with my experienced Bedouin team, combining expedition knowledge with their invaluable understanding of local terrain and conditions.

My ambition is to take people beyond conventional tourist routes into extraordinary remote desert landscapes through responsible exploration and thorough preparation.
